Hello Families,
It’s time to break from all those kicks and punches and enjoy some fun in the sun! Let’s celebrate our hard work and growing skills with a Taekwondo picnic!
Details:
· Date: Saturday June 29, 2024.
· Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
· Location: Gold Bar Park – Site #2 and Site #3
§ 10955 50 St NW, Edmonton, AB T6A 2E9
· Event Schedule:
o 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Promotional Belt Testing (those who are eligible and qualifies)
o 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Family Taekwondo Training
o 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Demo Performance
o 12:30 p.m. – 1:20 p.m. – Lunch Time (Bring your own lunch/snacks)
o 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Water Balloon Fight *bring your own filled water balloons*
o 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Summer Challenge (board breaking fundraiser for Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation)
o 3:00 p.m. – Cleanup
· What to bring:
o A blanket or lawn chair to relax on
o Your favorite picnic lunch (don’t forget to consider dietary restrictions!)
o Drinks (water, juice, etc.)
o Sunscreen and a hat (if sunny)
o A frisbee, ball, or other games (optional)
o Water Balloons (filled prior to coming to picnic)
We may also have some food as well – proceeds will be going to Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation as well! More to come closer to date.
This is a great opportunity to chat with your fellow families outside of class, bond with your instructors in a relaxed setting, and celebrate all things Taekwondo!
